Body Brave Basics

Body Brave Basics is a two-hour introduction to body positivity and Health at Every Size®. Unlearn 5 lies weight loss culture has perpetuated as Cat & Ani guide you through a new framework for approaching health and happiness.

Look forward to a session jam packed with information and also includes space for processing & reflection - both as a group & individually.

Body Brave Basics sessions also include: 

  •  a short workbook
  • access to follow-up resources
  • a discount for the 6 hour Becoming Body Brave session.

Each session is lead by Ani Janzen & Cat Polivoda, the co-creators & change agents at Body Brave Consulting. Ani & Cat have expertise in training and facilitation, as well as shared knowledge and passion around body positivity & activism.

Becoming Body Brave 

Becoming Body Brave is a six-hour session that offers a deeper look at the body positivity movement, Health at Every Size®, and offers concrete steps to reject weight loss culture’s lies and embrace the body you have today.

This session first focuses on unpacking, unlearning, and processing the lies we’re told about about our bodies from the world around us. Then, we help you navigate through a new framework for approaching health and your relationship with your body.

Sessions consist of captivating content presented by trainers, Ani & Cat, small and large group discussions, interactive activities, and individual reflection. Each session breaks for a meal. (Meal logistics differ based on training venue.)

Becoming Body Brave sessions also include:

  • a Becoming Body Brave workbook
  • follow-up resources, reflections, and activities
  • access to the private Body Brave online community (Facebook group) for continuing resources, advice, and support from Ani, Cat & other training participants.
  • discounts on future, topic-specific Being Body Brave sessions & individual coaching.

Both new faces & those who have attended a Body Brave Basics session are welcome to sign-up for a six-hour Becoming Body Brave training.
